It’s possible to treat yourself while reducing your environmental impact!
OTXANGOA gives a second life to your jeans by transforming them into Espadrilles!
Made in Mauléon in the Basque Country, each model is UNIQUE (the shades may vary slightly depending on the jeans, it's a game!).
If jeans are a product appreciated for their comfort, the same is true for these espadrilles, sewn by hand and resulting from traditional know-how . Jute thread in rope and rubber for the sole (obtained after treatment of latex, itself obtained thanks to tapping made on rubber trees).
These espadrilles meet the specifications of the “Mauléon” brand, guaranteeing that they are 100% made in the Basque Country .
Size advice: If you have a strong foot, take a size larger, otherwise, your usual size.
OTXANGOA has its roots in the Basque Country between land and sea. This name reflects the connection between the O of the wave Olatu and Txangoa which evokes the path and the excursion, thus mixing the two worlds which are dear to Nelly Fontaine the founder. Manager of a design agency in the world of sport and outdoor, she created Otxangoa as a "laboratory" to test different approaches between innovation and eco-design, with the motivation of perpetuating local know-how by entrusting the making of espadrilles to a passionate craftsman based in Moléon.
